Non-Fiction Translation Prize to Sarah Pybus

The Geisteswissenschaften International programme exists to promote translations of German humanities and social science publications at the academic end of non-fiction. It's been quite successful, as far as I'm aware, but one hurdle has been identifying good non-fiction translators. So they came up with the idea of a competition. You can read their press release here - it turns out they had about 200 entries, which is pretty incredible.

First prize went to Sarah Pybus for her "lucid translation" that "effectively and impressively conveys both the ideas and the tone of the original". Second and third places went to Fiona Graham and Sinead Crowe. Congratulations!!!
